Why orchids need to be watered with lemon juice
Orchids look beautiful in your home and also perfume it, so it is necessary to take good care of them to keep them healthy.
Fortunately, there is a home trick that will allow you to keep them healthy more easily. It is about watering them with lemon juice.
So that your orchids have bright flowers and leaves, it is advisable to add a few drops of lemon juice to the irrigation water from time to time. This will acidify the water and have a positive effect on its growth.
How to water an orchid with lemon
For good growth you should water it once a week. Pour warm water with a few drops of lemon juice into a container and place the plant in it. Let it act for 30 minutes before removing it and placing it in its usual place.
You do not need special fertilizers for the orchid to flourish. Lemon is very good for strengthening the root system of the orchid, preventing root rot and stimulating flowering. Just mix a little water with lemon juice ( 100 ml of juice per 3 lt of water ). Water 1 time every 6 weeks.
How often the orchid should be watered
It should be watered once every 7 days in summer and 2-3 times a month in winter. If you notice that the leaves are wilting at the tips or drooping, it means the plant needs more water. If the leaves are soft and starting to rot, you are watering too often.
