Vinegar
bay leaves

Preparation:

First of all, you have to fry some rice before cooking it.
While it is cooking, we add a little lemon juice and a splash of vinegar.
After a few minutes we add a couple of bay leaves, it is interesting to know that not only does it add flavor, but it also helps the rice to separate.
Finally we let it finish cooking and that’s it.

Tips and Tricks:

After having fried the rice and adding the water, we can also add 1/4 of a red bell pepper, a little salt and let it boil. When it happens, lower the heat and let the rice cook with the lid half open because this way we prevent the rice from sticking to us.
The use of the bell pepper adds flavor to the rice and adds texture, the recommendation is to cut it into small pieces and add it at the moment of serving.
Keep in mind that the more starch we remove from the rice, the less cakey it will be once cooked. To remove the starch, it is best to wash the rice before cooking 3 to 4 times, or until the grain is clearly visible, if not, the rice thickens during cooking.
When we cook rice there is a big difference in the final result if we boil it on high heat or low heat. By boiling over high heat we only make the water evaporate more quickly and the starch in the rice is stirred up, making it sticky.
