5 Homemade Tricks to clean your Iron
If the last time you used your iron you noticed that it left your clothes with dark stains, it probably needs an urgent cleaning.
All appliances need maintenance, that is why in this article we will show you some homemade tricks to make your iron look like new.
1- Baking soda
Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of water to form a paste. Rub over the base of your iron gently, avoiding blocking the steam holes. Remove all residue with a damp towel.
2- White vinegar
Soak a rag in white vinegar and place it on the base of your iron. Wait 30 minutes, remove the rag and wipe off the residue with a clean cloth.
3- Paracetamol
In this case your iron has to be on. Put the maximum regulator, take 1 paracetamol tablet (you can hold it with tweezers so as not to burn yourself), rub it on the burned areas and you will see how the stain will disappear. Turn it off and remove the dirt with a cloth.
4- Salt
Heat the iron slightly, place the cloth on the ironing board and apply a generous amount of salt. Pass the iron several times through the cloth, little by little you will see that the dark marks disappear. Turn it off and let it cool down before removing any traces of salt.
5- Newspaper
The iron must be turned on, place the newspaper on the ironing board, sprinkle salt on top and iron it until the greatest amount of salt is removed. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before cleaning to remove salt.
