Your clothes will come out cleaner from the washing machine – 7 Tricks
MY clothes don’t smell like fabric softener! This expression is one of the most popular searches in our decoration channel. Opening a closet and smelling like clean clothes is undoubtedly a real pleasure, so we are going to see some tricks and resources that will help us to have that smell for much longer. Take note of everything and how we can make our own fabric softener at home!
At the time of putting the washing machine, we can make some mistakes that allow the clothes not to smell as well as we want. The first of them is to put the clothes in very long cycles if they are not very dirty (this also causes us to spend more energy and money). Then of course we must quickly remove it from the washing machine and keep it in open places.
When we are going to iron we can also mix a little water with fabric softener in a diffuser and spray the garments to give them more smell. Be careful with this trick because we must put a very small amount of product and spray the clothes from a certain distance to avoid stains or fences when drying.
When hanging clothes, we must always be careful and leave the garments well spread out to prevent them from smelling musty. At the same time, if once dry we take a long time to collect them, we can make them lose their odor and then it will cost us much more to iron it.
Inside the cabinets we can also put cottons soaked in fabric softener to enhance that smell of clean clothes that we like so much. If you think that the humidity inside the cabinets or drawers may be what makes it smell bad, just place a glass with a little rice.
Finally, to get a much more personal smell, we give you the recipe to make fabric softener at home. We will only need a liter of water, 500 ml of white vinegar, two or three spoons of bicarbonate and a few drops of the essential oil that we like the most.
