How to store strawberry in the fridge with sugar syrup
There is another way to increase the shelf life of the strawberry: preparing a simple sugar syrup to store the fruit.
For this you must have:
- A cup of sugar tea;
- A small pot;
- Three cups of tea and 1/2 of filtered water;
- Various glass jars;
- Various airtight bags;
- A box of sanitized strawberries.
Preparation mode:
- First, you must mix a cup of sugar tea with 3 cups of tea and 1/2 of filtered water in a pan over low heat;
- Let the sugar dissolve well in the pan;
- Wait a while to cool (caution: be careful that the mixture does not harden).
- Soon after, place the whole strawberries in a glass container, add the syrup on top;
- Ready: close the pots and take it to the fridge!
If you want to keep the strawberries in the fridge for more than 2 weeks, they must be placed in the freezer . Therefore, place the fruits in airtight bags. The maximum validity is 6 months.
