We know that they play a fundamental role. According to the National Wildlife Federation, these insects provide oxygen to the soil.
However, the truth is that when they dig and make holes under houses or even buildings, they can affect the structure.
Fortunately, there are homemade tricks available that we can know and apply to solve this ant invasion.

It is an economical and very effective homemade method, for this trick the famous Roma soap is used. Environmentally friendly, its components are not harmful to the skin and, being biodegradable, it does not generate much foam.

For this method you will need:
Ingredients:
- 1 Bag of neutral soap powder (Rome)
- 1 Bucket
- water
- 1 brush
Process:
- To begin with, in a bucket we add water plus the blunt soap, the proportions are according to the number of holes that we find in the house.
- The key is to achieve a dough in the mixture of water and soap, it should NOT be watery.
- We use the brush and pass it through the thick mixture, then we apply it in the holes and in the line where the ants are walking.
- You’ll observe how they’ll come out terrified or fleeing everywhere. In this way, we will put an end to each ant hole.
Trick #2: Extra remedy for your plants
Again we will use the same soap, which, being biodegradable, will not harm plants:
How to prepare the spray:
- We will start by diluting 1 tablespoon of Roma soap in 1 liter of water in a container.
- Then we pour it into a spray bottle.
- Finally, it is applied directly to the plants, on the leaves and stems. You can even apply a little of the mixture on the ground.
Tips:
- If we see that they have a pest on the leaves of the plants, we can soak a piece of cotton in the mixture and clean the leaves on both sides.
- This procedure can be repeated at least 3 times a week for best results.
- With this homemade trick, the traces of the whitefly, cochineal or aphid plague are erased.
Finally, this method can be used as a preventive measure. In good let’s observe that some ant appears, let’s not wait for a plague to form.
