How to Make Homemade Lemon, Vinegar, and Alcohol Soap Without Caustic Soda!

Soap is a hygiene product we use several times a week. Unfortunately, the quality of many store-bought soaps has deteriorated over time. This can result in clothes that are left stained, discolored, and with damaged fabric after washing. For these reasons, making your own homemade soap can be a fantastic alternative. This article will guide you through the process of creating a high-quality lemon soap at home. For best results, follow the steps closely.

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter of Cold Water
  • 2 bars of Glycerin Soap
  • 50 ml. of Alcohol
  • 10 tbsp. of Common Sugar
  • 6 tbsp. of Powdered Soap
  • Zest of 3 Lemons
  • 50 ml. of Alcohol Vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Lemon-infused water: Start by pouring the liter of water into a pot and bringing it to boil along with the lemon zest. Once it starts boiling, let it simmer for about 5 minutes to infuse the water with the lemon aroma.
  2. Soap preparation: While the water is boiling, grate the 2 bars of glycerin soap.
  3. Mixing the soap: After the 5 minutes have passed, remove the lemon zest from the water. Reduce the heat and gradually incorporate the grated soap. Continuously stir as you add the soap to ensure thorough mixing. The soap may take a while to fully melt, so be patient.
  4. Powdered soap: After about 20 minutes, add the powdered soap to the mixture and continue stirring.
  5. Adding sugar: Once the powdered soap has dissolved, incorporate the 10 tablespoons of sugar, ensuring constant stirring.
  6. Final touches: Finally, pour in the alcohol and vinegar. At this stage, you can also add a dye if you like – yellow or green are recommended for a citrusy touch.
  7. Molding and setting: Turn off the heat and pour the mixture into soap molds or any container you have on hand. After 6 hours, you can start cutting and shaping the soap as you prefer.

Note: Before using the soap, let it cure for about 5 days to ensure it’s completely set.

And there you have it! Your very own homemade lemon soap. Give it a try on any clothing, whether they are black or colored, and enjoy the results!
