We usually use cornstarch for different cooking recipes, as it is a great ally for various preparations such as cookies, cakes, puddings, waffles, cheeses and much more.

What I need?

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of white vinegar
  • The juice of 1 lemon
  • Spray bottle or spray type
  • Microfiber cloth

Step by Step:

The first thing you should do is place the 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with the water, lemon juice and vinegar inside the spray bottle and mix it well.
Once all the ingredients are well integrated it is ready to use.
When you are in front of the glass that you want to clean, it is recommended to remove all kinds of residue or dust that you find.
And now, you can spray the glass surface with the spray bottle and clean with the microfiber cloth.
It is advisable to do it in small circles. If you prefer to do it with newspaper or a sponge it is also very effective.
Remember that if you do it more often, this will make cleaning easier.

Other uses of cornstarch for cleaning your home

Cornstarch, as we have mentioned above, is very useful both for cooking and for cleaning your glasses and mirrors.

To clean wooden furniture: You just need to place a little cornstarch powder on a damp microfiber cloth (with water). This will perfectly exfoliate your furniture and leave it sparkling and shiny.
To remove the bad smell from shoes: Cornstarch is really great, if you just put 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in each shoe and leave it there overnight, and the next day pick up the remains with a cloth or cotton. This will absorb moisture and neutralize odor super effectively.
To iron your clothes: For this trick you will have to mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in 1 cup of water and leave it in a spray bottle or spray type, and when you iron your clothes, spray it previously with a little of this mixture.
To remove complicated stains from clothes: You went to a party and you spilled wine on your clothes, you cut yourself and got blood stained, none of these stains will be a problem for you if you have cornstarch nearby. Place a little cornstarch powder on the stain you have and let it act for a few moments, then clean with plenty of water and you will see how easy it is to remove it.
