Fabrics and iron temperature – need to know

Jeans
Denim fabric is one of the most resistant, so it can be ironed at maximum temperature. If you have trouble getting rid of the creases, use the iron spray and select steam mode.

To iron jeans, the tip is always to start by ironing the pockets facing outwards, then the waistband and waist, and finally the legs.

Cotton
Cotton fabric tends to wrinkle a lot, but luckily it’s also easy to unwrinkle.

But for that, use the steam of the iron and have a sprayer of water always close by.

If the piece has a print, remember to iron it inside out.

And you know the dress shirts, terror of those who iron clothes? So they are also made of cotton.

But in order not to suffocate when ironing a dress shirt, remember that this type of clothing must be ironed from the “outside in”.

That is, start by passing the collar, cuffs, collar and then go to the sleeves, the front and finally the back.

Silk, lace and wool
Delicate fabrics such as silk, lace and wool should be ironed at the lowest temperature and with a slightly damp cloth between the piece and the iron.

Be careful with the use of steam in this case, as it can burn more delicate clothes.

Linen
Linen, on the other hand, is one of those fabrics that makes you want to cry just seeing how it crumples.

But there is a solution. The tip, in this case, is to set the iron to maximum temperature, activate the steam function and have a spray on hand to spray water on the creases that are more difficult to come out.

If the garment is wide, like a dress, for example, start by passing the ends, such as the collar, cuffs, sleeves, until you reach the largest body of the piece, which would be the length.

Too many fabrics
For other types of fabric, see the label for the correct ironing method. By the way, always do this, regardless of the fabric you are ironing. This is the safest and most efficient way to iron clothes without damaging the garments.
